Lastest Keith Giffen redesign commission, Dawnstar! I love Dawnstar for a multitude of reasons. First, she adds a bit of diversity to the Legion of Super-Heroes. Obviously she's a super tracker that puts Wolverine to shame. She can find you three galaxies away Fatal Five, no sense in hiding.

But there are aspects to her ability that aren't readily apparent. She can survive the vacuum of space without a transsuit, and she's really, really fast.

As in sub light speed fast.

Legion cruisers have trouble keeping up with her. It's never been explained exactly how those wings of hers can generate such speed, and perhaps in truth they don't. I wouldn't be surprised if there's another aspect of her alien physiology that explains more fully her flight and velocity.

That's what I love about these characters, even after thirty plus years of continuity/reboots, there's still a wealth of information that's yet to be revealed.
