Yes, you have to pay him to get a reward 
the pledge where he draws for you is 15 dollars, so if you want to pledge/order you must click on that button and pay 15 dollars every month
OR you pay for that month and then at the end of the month you delete the pledge and pledge for the more cheaper once

basically you create an account on this said website and you can support the artists by becoming their
pateron fallower which means you support them by sending them an small or big amount of money depending on what you
agreed to. for me i clicked on a button where i send him 15 US dollar a month and for that i get a drawing in return 
now this happens only once with Mr.Adachi but there are other artists that will complete drawings or so for every payment once every month that you pledge
i hope i explained it for you well because am not the best at it since English is not my main language x//D
