Description
One of the largest monsters that can be found on the surface world of Terth, megomas are gigantic, elephant-sized mounds of skin, fat and muscle. They defy any sort of biological classification known to the surface-dwelling races; they share several similarities with a family of slug-like animals that exist in the caves under Mount Orymir, but their reptilian heads, lumpy bodies, bizarre eyes and bony protrusions separate them quite distinctly. Megomas are found most commonly in the Sahraard Desert, the deepest reaches of Mount Orymir, and certain areas within the Mangonie region.

The most prominent feature of a megoma is its array of eyes, with 4 smaller eyes enclosed in translucent tubes surrounding a single large, central eye that's capable of firing globs of burning yellow liquid that explode on impact with solid surfaces. The thick skin is nearly impenetrable, and extrudes a slick, smelly oil that allows the beast to gain a surprising amount of momentum by sliding along the ground, a trait which truly shines when the creature is moving across sand or mud. Although most conventional weaponry has little effect on a megoma, the oil secreted by its skin is as flammable as petroleum, and even if one doesn't have any fire-starting tools at their disposal, simply rupturing the monster's eye will cause it to go up in flames almost instantly.
