Description
Though only a few alleged sightings of hooded horrors have occurred during the entire Sixth Era, the Annals of Orymir describe them as having been very common during the last century of the Fifth Era. It's said that they lived in deep, cold water, and that they used to come to the surface in great numbers during the night. Although nothing is known about them scientifically, they are described by the ancient Jafanak lorekeeper Gunto as "Perhaps some of the most ancient and terrible of monsters, who came with the Dragons when the accursed trenches opened, but did not see fit to settle in our lands, and left with their masters when the trenches began to close. If the Dragons truly do intend to some day turn the surface into a place where creatures like this would thrive, then I need hardly explain why future generations of Redbloods must never allow them to succeed."
