Justin!!! Those branches are about to break! : o I love his determination here, but there's still a nice sense of comedy in the way he uses his tongue. x3
Um, I haven't spoken with you in a while, but how are you doing? It seems you have been going through anxiety and health problems in your life.

No, no, that's okay~ I'm glad you've been doing well. The first half of this year has been kind of slow, since I just focus on more work be it on art or school. However, ever since I started summer break, I've been feeling less overworked and much better. I'm quite excited to go back to school, since I'll be focusing on subjects I'm more passionate about. But I just made an art feature journal, since I forgot to do one last month, so you can check it out here, if you'd like: Monthly Art Feature July/August
If you ever feel anxious, let yourself experience those feelings and thoughts. It would be bad to suppress yourself to not acknowledge them/deny them. So when you give yourself time to feel, never forget to keep thinking positive. And of course, it's important to take care of your health, too.

Yes, the colored pencils can be used for blur effects, too. If you want you can probably use the same technique you used for the moon glow effect. But then again it's all about experimenting and seeing what works best for you. There are some tutorials and even some comics that demonstrate great use of motion with colored pencils.
You mean these markers?Β cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1578β¦ I've never heard of them before. Are they any good? Β I can't say for sure if those markers can be smeared to create an effect, but it seems like it'd be worth taking some scrap paper and trying it out. I heard alcohol will smear some water based markers. Of course if you don't wanna go through all that technical stuff you can just draw some super quick motion lines.

Even with light pressure, the colors still come in thick; especially with the black marker. I think I'd have to turn the tip at different angles to get the thickness I want.

I haven't used those before; I have used regular ball-point pens just to see what it would look like. Of course, those aren't meant for art, so I would need to get something more geared to drawing.

Oh man, I love using regular old pens for drawing! About 90 percent of all the sketchbooks I have now are full of pen sketches. Not to mention there's plenty other people who use them for inking too. But I get what you're saying, because you want to have a more finished look to your drawings, right? Maybe if we run into each other again I can let you use one of my Microns and see how it suits you. I bought one more than I needed, so I wouldn't mind sparing one.Β
