A character from some of James Patterson's novels, named Max Ride. I always wanted to try drawing her but none of the books really described her except the most recent one, which I'm reading now.I'm pretty happy with how this came out. I'm trying some new stuff with how I draw faces, like trying not to make the eyes take up the whole picture. And I really like her hair and wings. Yeah, I started scribling on parts because the pose got really confusing, and wings are too hard to draw. I think it looks cool anyways.
The James Patterson books are called: The Lake House, When The Wind Blows, and Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment.

Not sure if you're aware, but The Lake House and When The Wind Blows are actually a separate series, the Max in them is not the same as the Max in Maximum Ride. Anyway, I love this picture! I'm not sure I've seen anyone draw her with the pink steaks in her hair before, it looks great!

When The Wind Blows and The Lake House are his adult novels of different bird-kids. The Maximum Ride bird-kids are different, yes, based somewhat on his adult novels, but different, as are the names (major ones in When The Wind Blows and The Lake House being: Max, Ozymandias (or Oz), Icarus (or Ic, the blind kid), twins Peter and Wendy, Max's brother Matthew, and Frannie and Kit).

awesome to the max. *nono!pun* -forshame-.. lol. I am loving your max's hair! The wings are lovely though a bit angular; and i am jealous of the hands. Hands and feet are my weaknesses. The pose is lovely; she looks like she's just landed. The colouring on the wings or just the colouring in general is amazing. I love the little jackety thing. It's secretagent -esque and suits her fine. The only max ride books i've heard of are the angel experiment and school's out forever. I read the first ages ago and found the second on the teenage reading shelf in my local libary. I read 264 pages in one night, woke up and needed caffine. I love this drawing and I hope you keep at it!

Wow!!! Nice drawing! I like that the style is 'american cartoon', cause i think that MaxRide is more that way, and less manga-ish. (Except for like Fang's hair or something.) Fang is sssssssssoooooooooooooo HOT!!!

When it says the her hair was blonde, it was like, whoa..really? -lol-
(Doesn't James say that his characters in The Lake House and When The Wind Blows aren't the same characters as in Maximum Ride...He says that their situations, and Max's name are pretty much where the simularities end... At least that's what he put at the beginning of the paper back edition of Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment (-lol- I was curious, one day while I was at the store, to see if there was any info on the second book, and found that statement at the beginning of the book...))

Um... sort of. When the wind blows and The lake house are in the same series, but Max Ride isn't. If you look in the first few pages of Max Ride there's a note from Patterson pointing this out. They are just often confused because the main character in both is named Max.
