Hey everyone!
I finally finished the RWBY fan art I've been working on since pretty much the beginning of the month! I've always wanted to do some fan art for it, but never got around to it, but after I heard the news that Monty Oum passed away I felt like it was about time to do it. It's a bit late considering a month has passed, but I didn't want to rush it so I could do each character justice. My condolences go out to his family and friends, may he rest well.
It took a while to try and get each characters personality to show through, but it was very fun doing this! I'd have to say Yang is my favourite RWBY character! I hope you like my tribute art for this great man and series~

Gorgeous!!! When you mentioned you were going to draw some RWBY fanart, I was hoping you would draw all four of them, and sure enough, you did them justice! I love how not only the expression suits each character, but the stance, pose and overall atmosphere is paired with each one. I can't imagine how long it must have taken to draw the sword. It looks so detailed with the highlights! I have no idea how you managed to spend so much time on the background without losing your patience, but it turned out amazing!

I felt like I needed to do all four of the characters in the original format if it was going to be a tribute, so I figured: screw it all, I'm going to do it, and do it well!
But I'm glad you think I did the characters justice, it was fun trying to figure out how to express each of them and capture their 'atmosphere'!

Ugh.... it makes me want to do some fanart too!! But if I were to do one,
I want to try a gender bend version... I don't know, usually I'm totally content with the original gender
but I'm interested to draw a different version for RWBY ^^'

Oh my, you and I have the same mind set. I was thinking of a gender bend as well (then again, I always think in gender bends even though I don't do them), I think all characters are super fun to do it genderbent LOL!
I'd die to see Yang genderbent, hands down my favourite character in RWBY, I'm sure if you ever get around to doing it, it'll be awesome~

My friends and I have a cosplay group and I'm Weiss. She's freaking awesome! But, we have all female characters except for Blake. Blake is being played as a guy. Lol
