The year was 2020 and budget cuts by the American goverment forced an unknown but very important organization to shut down : the Department of ExtraNormal Affairs, the DXA to most. A group that was dedicated to tracking down things such as paranormal activity to alien invasions. The department began shortly after the Roswell event and had some significant findings but the decision to outsource was cost effective and just what this world needed.

I'm from Earth, just not this one. On my world there was never a DXA and aliens had probed our world for years and after countless wars with mutant insects, mutated humans, the aliens struck and hit us hard. I was a member of the resistance, a cyber angel, a human implanted with nanobots developed from alien tech, that gave me incredible abilities. At the end of our war with the aliens I snuck aboard one of their mother ships with several others and set up a chain reaction that would destroy their forces and saved the planet...I think.

I don't remember much of what I was then, some things are clear as day others, not so. I don't even know my name but I know my mission, do whatever it takes to keep this world alien free. I may not be able to go back to my Earth but I can save the one I'm on. I was one of the few that convinced the goverment that outsourcing was the viable thing to do. When I arrived here only one country had the tech available to stop invaders, but with outsourcing this tech will make it's way to other countries advancing all tech on this planet so by the time the real invasion does begin, they'll be ready.

I make ends meet by hunting aliens on this world for several goverment agencies but lately the number of agents have dwindled, all sources seem to indicate that one alien is responsible for this. Female and humanoid enough to pass as one of us, yet no photographic evidence of her exist. So as I pounce on this nest of would be invaders, she's the only one on my mind. One of my goverment contacts radio's in that she's been spotted in New York City, apparently she killed another one of us. The file on this guy...well it's disgusting but he was one of us, a defender of this planet and morally questionable he may have been, he got results.

I'm booking a plane to the East Coast via my nanobots in my helmet hopefully I'll be able to pick up on her trail before it goes cold again.
