If someone has a thought that they think may improve something and or fix it, Jaywing will never deny them the ability to speak their mind. He does not jump to conclusions, and is knowledgeable of the fact that there is always a reason for actions taken.

Jaywing tends to keep to himself. He rarely speaks to anyone on his own, and he hates revealing inner thoughts. He prefers a quiet location to just sit and think over the hustle and bustle of clan activities, though he will not hesitate to make his opnion known should the need arise.
Romantic |
Much like most cats, Jaywing believes he will one day meet the perfect feline and they will have the perfect life. He was raised with stories of his parents relationship, and hopes he will have something like that one day.

A keen eye is a good thing to have, and Jaywing has one. He keeps a close eye on those around him, knows what's going on wherever he is, and doesn't let anything take him by surprise.

A habit picked up due to teasing and bullying when he was young, Jaywing is very aware of his surroundings, and is very knowledgeable of the fact that trouble could be anywhere. Because of this he can be a bit jumpy, but for the most part, it protects him and those cats in the clan.

Easy enough to understand, Jaywing doesn't socialize. He doesn't feel comfortable talking to anyone, and its rare for him to open up. If you want to be his friend, its better to start off with very little and make your way up to spending time with him. He won't share his words easily.

Before Birth
Your normal average romance between a tom and a she-cat. Raised together since birth, Sleetsong and Weedstride were both Fishers in Riverclan. Many hours were spent together waiting for that perfect catch to swim by. They were best friends throughout their life. They had a spat over how Sleetsong was given an apprentice and Weedstride wasn't, but two cats in love couldn't stay mad at each other for long, and soon they had made up. When Reefpaw had become a warrior, Sleetsong gave Weedstride a bit of good news. She was with kits. Weedstride was ecstatic, as any normal soon to be father would be. Everything went perfectly, and soon Sleetsong lay in the nursery, three small bundles at her belly, mewling and suckling. One was similar to Weedstride, a dark colored she-cat, and she was graced with the name Midnightkit. Snakekit was a brown tabby tom, similar to Sleetsong's mother's colors. The final kit, a white and black tom, was given the name Jaykit after Weedstride's brother, who had died during birth. Each kit was healthy, and the family began.

Kithood
Jaykit was a lively kit, and he loved to play with his siblings and his siblings loved to ignore him. His colors were normal, but the strange fur that adorned his legs made him an oddball in the clan, and his siblings didn't want to be associated with him. He had been a favorite at first, but as the cats in the clan mocked him, his siblings took on their thoughts. He still remained lively, and energetic, as would any kit. When the kits were 3 moons, they lost their father. Weedstride had slipped while fishing, and having been on a solo trip, no one was able to help him. His body washed up on shore a few sunrises later, and Sleetsong sunk into depression. Jaykit had been close to his father, the only feline who understood him, so he took the loss hard. He withdrew, and by the time he was 6 moons, he had no friends, and his family had all but abandoned him.

Apprenticeship
Mentored by the deputy meant that his siblings had even more reason to be annoyed by him. Why should such a stupid cat get such a great mentor? Jaypaw didn't understand, but the deputy, Spottedflare, was Weedstride's sister in law, and took pity on the poor tom. Under her guidance, Jaypaw showed his skills, and he quickly learned the ways of a warrior. His final assesment was three moons before his siblings, and he passed easily. Nothing really interesting occured during his apprenticeship. His mother returned to fishing, Midnightpaw and Snakepaw both became friends with the other apprentices, and Jaypaw found he got along better with the adults than those his age.

Warrior Life
Jaywing was a warrior when he was 12 moons old, and he quickly took his place as one of the better warriors in the clan. The higher ups had been switched around a bit, and Spottedflare had passed. Upset, he kept true to her teachings, and continued to try to make friends. His siblings became warriors at 15 moons, and by then, Jaywing had been given an apprentice. An honor to have an apprentice at such a young age, Jaywing was determined to prove himself. The next half cycle went by easily, and Silverpaw became Silversnow on time. Pleased with the warrior's training ability, Jaywing was given a second apprentice, this time a young tom who had difficulties making friends. Jaywing saw himself in the cat, and over the next few moons, worked with him. They helped each other, really, and Blackgaze was his first real friend in a long time. Jaywing was now 27 moons old, and the leader had been replaced with Patchstar. Jaywing never really spoke to the tom, but had faith. A few months later, the deputy passed, and, having proven his worth multiple times, Jaywing was chosen as the next deputy. Midnightglare and Snaketongue still didn't respect him, but they now knew to hold their tongue.

Deputy
At his current rank, he was now 36 moons. He was comfortable in his own skin, he had a few select friends, he held the respect of his peers, and he was hopeful for the future.

Jaywing has Heterochromis, or dual colored eyes. Due to this, he has a light sensitivity problem, though he learned to deal with it.

Jaywing loves all animals, and so thanks starclan for each and every meal. He tends to be the random cat to want to save a mouse with a limp rather than take advantage of it, but will always put his clan first.

The continued ringing of her bell was lost to the little cat as she chowed down on her makeshift meal. The leftover berries were set aside as she finished the rest of her salad, saving the rest of the berries for last. She finished everything else and rolled the last couple of berries around with her paw, smiling at the way they moved, and the way the rain looked, beaded up on the round red balls. She went to eat them but was spooked by the sound of a loud voice, and her head shot up, staring at the very large feline in her area.

Her blue eyes blinked as she stared in wonder. He was the biggest cat she'd ever seen! His question was pushed out of her head as she studied him. It would seem almost as if she was analyzing him, but in reality, she was eyeballing his fur. It looked odd, slicked back by the rain that still fell around them, and he didn't look comfortable. She didn't understand the look on his face, and she suddenly became aware that he had spoken.

He had a strange tone to his voice that she didn't recognize, but his question was an easy one. She smiled at him and giggled. "They taste good, and I'm still here! Duh!" She jumped to her paws, carefully picking up one of the berries and skipped over to him, putting it at his paws."Try it! You'll see! They taste good, they have so much juice! I'm hungry, and its what I found, and it works! Do you want some more? I can show you the bush! If I can find it again. Left right straight under left...thats it, yes! Who are you?"
