Description
A Walk in the Park: done in Photoshop, half photomanipulation half painting. This is the thrid piece where I've been using the same technique, and i think it's been polished finished for a tutorial of some sort.The story behind the picture is that this guy walks into a park and begins summoning a demon/portal.
Advanced critique encouraged, i really wanna improve.

nipple jokes? I dont know of any nipples with a flaming contour lines. I always thought they were supposed to be contoured with wirey pubic hair.Like mine. Call me.

Hmm it's got great texture and detail.. but my only criticism, is that it's kinda monotone. I both like and dislike that.. it makes the mood more concentrated, but at the same time it'd be nice to see some other colors.. maybe just hints of them

and you said you wanted lots of suggestions, so here i go
his powers seem to be almost weak, in that, he's only got two little strands of magic flowing from him
if he's summoning DEMONS, i think you should make him more badass
mybe give him a big billowing coat
you could set the bushes on fire, that would be sweet
and i like the symbols/swirling dust ideas, too
if you've ever played Warcraft 3, think about the symbols around the Undead stuff
pentagrams, of course
runic symbols
and last but not least, the portal
it almost looks like it's going to collapse on itself at any moment
give it more structure, more power
maybe like an archway made of fiery columns, with like .. black fog rolling out of it
THAT would be scary
but yeah, nice work, you've got talent

Absolutely a +fav. Love the way you've combined different types of media, and the colours are great. very sinister feeling about this. Mood is everything here and you've certainly captured the mood. Who's the model?

I reckon some symbols around his feet in a circle of salt or something would look a bit more traditional.... and the symbols/circle could be glowing blue....
And some tricky numbers.... like 8, 7 or something like that. and some swilring dust around his feet or the ground on the picturewould look good also....
Maybe give him some more magickal attire.... but then again its just some random wizard dude from our time. (looks to be anyway)

Personally, I like the portal. I don't think it needs any work. Did you already remove the logo, or am I blind? Looked for it, but I don't see anything. I really thought it WAS a ferris wheel when I first saw the thumb.

this is awsoem something ive wanted to do, i woudnt realy change naything since its hafe painting, but if i would i would make the flare ball from urs hand up have a more flary electric look, but thats if i was doing it on pc, u know?

I could see stronger light dark contrast on the figure. The text looks really B movie like, someone was saying somethin about that earlier, if thats what you were going for then it works good. everything else seems good... I like the addition of the two lights. Cool style.

Excellent work. The mystical wheel feels a little blurred, but the entire composition flows together really well.

I like the concept alot and the lighting ion the bottom half of the work is great, but the "casting" looks a little bit flat, you might want to try something not so even and symmetrical like the circle in the future. You might want to make the lights go off more randomly from his hands, I think that might give it a more powerul effect.
also, this might be totally weird, but if you focus on the middle dot of the circle and then make the focus of your eyes go in and out, it seems as if the middle circle is expanding....wow i am weird.

This looks amazing! I would like to know though, for the focal points around the circle, did you use symbols from the Jak and Daxter games? They look really familiar
