Description This is an old one that i recently re-edited, i much prefer this version.
One of the local abandoned buildings, that tower has a water tower inside, unlike popular belief around here that it is a church.
I hope you enjoy the twisted fisheye perspective, i do.

HDR from 5 photos, tone mapped in Photomatix

I'm not a huge fan of HDR but it works really well here, great image

Wonderful my friend... great perspective !
I don't want to repeat the same things but also for me the pic is too noisy and surely the noise is caused by the HDR processing because of too dark frames. Sometimes it's not so simple... however a good pic

I didnt realise quite how bad it was untill now,and dont have any experiece with getting rid of the noise.
Ill look into it though.
Thanks for the help.

I agree again with uberfischer, if you want the best result you have to use ISO100 even if you have a great camera. The value 1250 is a strange value for manual settings, probably did you use an automatic setting ? Nikon is known to use this strange values in auto mode.
Another point is the light. More is the light best is the result, and surely if you shot with the sun light you will see great results.
In Ben Willmore High Dynamic Range Mastery I saw the use of HDR in two ways: the real one and the illustrative one (If you have time take a look on the internet). Certainly your pic is an illustrative one !

Yes i have since realised all this, im not entirely sure whether it was on auto or manual as it was such a long time ago.
Ill look that up, it sounds interesting.
Thanks for the convosation by the way.

i love the perspective and feel to the pic. I would probably have cleaned up the sky though. The noise is too much for me here...

i see...but why did u use iso 1250? My limited experience with HDR-processing has told me to use lowest possible iso. And surely with the shutterspeed u have used here, the high iso was not necessary?

Anyway, u could try running the sky through e.g. Noiseware. That would probably clean it up a bit...

I shot this rather a while ago, before i really understood the use of ISO, although i dont know if my old camera had an ISO that high, so it might also be mangled EXIF data from the HDR merge. Thanks for the idea's though.

Ill try and find out about Noiseware. Thanks my friend
