Picked up the newest issue of Superhero Squad [link] for my kids today. It guest-stars Man-Thing, which led to a lot of questions and a convoluted explanation of his origin, as well as some head scratching as to exactly why a muck monster is drawn to emotions and why do things that are afraid burn at his touch? We did all manage to agree that we would be afraid if we came across him in a swamp and we would therefore be goners.

Anyway, it got me thinking about how I probably haven't drawn him since I was a kid, so I figured I'd give him a whirl.

This was drawn with a Sharpie and colored with Photoshop.
