*sigh*...poor Elphaba. Just can't get a break. Nice job with this. Love her outstretched hand...because I am TERRIBLE with hands. I like how you're not afraid to draw her pointy and crooked...it's so much more book-verse.

I love ugly Elphaba. I really can't stand drawing pretty versions because that's just isn't how she is in my head. She has to look like the Wicked Witch, you know? Maybe "history" really had misjudged her looks, which is what the musical suggests, but its more touching to me if she's exaclty as I know her...only a richer character. More intricate. And yes, bookverse.
Thank you! I've just recently started to do hands and faces the way you see in this picture. It took some courage, but what really helps is drawing five straight lines outside the center of the palms for the fingers...and then fill in the fingers afterwards over the lines. You know what I mean? It gives it proportion and if it doesn't work, you just make the lines closer together or fatehr appart, etc.

Dude, when Dorothy said, "I just wanted to know if you could ever forgive me!" I literally threw the book down and later figured out that I screamed when Elphaba screamed.
That was too cool a moment! But still...the fact that Liir had his dumpy self crush on her made me hate her MORE. I hate Liir! ...I kind of hated everyone by the end of the book. O_o At one point I was like, "Oh god, just let Elphaba die."

Obviously he hasn't recieved ANY intellect genes from Elphaba, well we have to forgive him he IS a male. You know what I really wanted? I really wanted Liir to fall out of the f*ing castle. Then again, Elphaba was a pretty shitty mother, so maybe she deserved such a fugly sun. Then again, she didn't ask to get pregnant. Then again, she's Elphaba. Bad things happen to Elphaba. Poor Elphaba.

yeah...Then there's Glinda! I love her! she's so happy, you know what sctatch that, I loved her when she was in Shiz and towards the end of the 2nd book, but she became well,...different. I never seen the play and I really really REALLY want to, but what I have learned is that she's more involved in the play then the book, she like took Boq's role, Boq was like the 2nd improtant cha. and Glinda was like 3rd. and they switched in the play.
Now Boq. Boq, is a AMAZINGLY CUTE!!!! I love him MORE the Glinda! well after all I'm a girl...Boq is OSOOOOO cool! him and Elphaba should have hooked up. and fuck Glinda I would have taken him up in a second! TEE HEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....
