I love her outfit. The coloring is beautiful as well. I love that you like drawing Catarina Devon so much since there isn't much of art about her since she is not pretty like most of One Piece girls. You gave her lot of personality in this picture. She looks like a though and badass woman who likes wearing feminine clothing. Which is a good thing since lot of people seem to have this idea that "ugly" women wear either butch or granny-like clothing. I don't really see her as extremely ugly but more of a average middle aged woman with broken nose who is drawn in extremely caricatyre like style. I love all that detailing in her outfit. The beading in her sleeves, striped fabric in the bodice, the ribbons/ties at her waist and the embroidery on her skirt. The shoes are also very pretty. I actually like her outfit a lot and would buy it if it were sold in a store.

I sent Oda few works of Devon in the dress with my previous letter to SBS, so since some of them got into volume gallery, I hope he saw them XD I really, REALLY hope he puts her in a dress once we see them 2Y ^^ But since she spoke about changing cloth I have my faith stable : D

I did submit my pictures to Usopp Gallery Pirates (fanart section in OP volumes) - I sent about 10 drawings and they took 2 in ^^ You can find them in volume 50~
Devon drawing wasn't printed, but since Oda says he picks the pictures himself I'm sure he've seen it : )
And yay, I'm super happy there are more people who like Devon out there ^^ She's like... a world to me XD I've been waiting to see her for the whole year from when she was first mentioned to when she was first introduced in manga, and she met all of my highest expectations ^^ I'm so happy she wasn't a pretty girl or anything generic >_> Sure, she may not be beautiful but face, but she's so kickass
I can't wait to see her and whole crew 2Y too! I hope it's going to be after fishman island arc... so... I hope it ends up sooner rather than later >_>;

I have to agree with some of your earlier commentors you DO draw Catarina better than Oda does. he just slapped a big nose and feminine features onto a mans head. but YOU actually make her look like a WOMAN with colorful features and THAT is what makes her so striking and beautiful! even if it's not conventional beauty. and that is what I admire about you drawing characters like her!!!

Catarina Devon in canon might not be portrayed as pretty, but wow, she looks positively beautiful in this. I have to say that I really admire that. The colors, the style of the clothes, and the pose give a very good look. The detail and design in the clothing is fantastic! The lighting and shading really give the picture depth too! Anyway, sorry for going on like that, but damn, that is good work.

I think you are the only person in the world (besides Oda) who can make Devon look that attractive and elegant. I'm not a fan of hers, but the design is beautiful and I love the outfit, so I'm going to have to fave it!

You do her draw her better than Oda! What I was trying to say was if Oda actually wanted to make her elegant he probably could...but he doesn't so you trump him in that aspect.
I just think it's cool that you've taken an unusual female character of Oda's who wasn't meant to be very attractive and made her glamorous. I always enjoy your work of her.
