Lately I've had no confidence in my drawing ability... just one of those days, we all get them...

I was rummaging through my old Warhammer 40k models and found my favorite piece, a Dreadnought.

I've always wanted to test myself with a dark flame-ridden digital piece with my tablet but hadn't done any decent linearts lately that I haven't colored with pencils.

For some reason I had the word Glorfindel in my head... I googled it and found out it was the name of a Lord of the Rings character from thousands of years before the movies.
god-knows where I had heard it but nonetheless the name stuck...

So here he is, Glorfindel, the Dreadnought-Inquisitor setting something alight to his left... possibly a heretic or some such, who knows...
but here's something to keep you entertained:
(Just a quick biography of the character)
Glorfindel was one of the many millions to stand on the day of the God-Emperor's victory over his traitorous son Horus, as one of the many of the Blood Angels to fall on that day he was deemed worthy of continued service within the armored Sarcophagus of the honored Dreadnought, the living embodiment of the machine-god.

For thousands of years he vanquished unspeakable millions in his name, his fury and piety earning him ranks as a venerable member of the Adeptus Astartes until the day came when he was called for a higher purpose...

An Inquisitor of the Ordo Malleus sought an ally for his retinue of the strongest spirit, seeing no match for the undying devotion of this living machine he was summoned to become a member of the Order in the never-ending struggle against the Demon Without.

due to his immortal form, Glorfindel outlived the Inquisitor and eventually bore his mark in the name of the God-Emperor. This at first did not sit well with the overseers of the order and resolved to have him returned to his beloved Blood Angels, though fate would have it that during the second Chaos Crusade his services were unquestionably neccessary he was officially announced an Inquisitor Lord and as a benchmark of what is required for those in the service against the God-Emperor's many foes.
