This is gorgeous! Definitely feels almost like an acrylic or gouache painting here which is a neat change of pace from your other landscape paintings.  I especially like how you simplified the crevices and recesses of the rocks.

I definitely need to do more of them, I'd like to make a series of quick'n'loose studies from several of my photos, especially some I've taken during my years in Japan

I have to say it looks real. From far distance you can mistake it with a photo I especially like the water, it has so much depth... Great!
