Description
She was beautiful, but she was beautiful in the way a forest fire was beautiful: something to be admired from a distance, but not up close.And she held her sword, and she smiled like a knife.
A concept art I did of War, the Apocalyptic Horseperson from Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett's excellent book Good Omens. It's quite a rough sketch but seemed well liked on my artblog so here it is. I took the forest fire metaphor a bit literally... I'd love to draw the rest of the Horsepeople at some point, as well as the other characters, but I'm due for a re-read!
Inspired by the facial features of the beautiful Genevieve Padalecki, who is my dreamcast for this character. I hear there's a miniseries in the (very early) works...!

(and honestly, while I loved the book, I feel like I wouldn't really want a movie version too much because a whole lot of the humor lies in the writing and isn't spoken, and the writing really makes it clever. I feel like a dramatisation would be cool, but it really wouldn't do the book justice)
