Description Completed: December 2003
Medium: Acrylic"Look for me in white forest, hiding in a hollow tree.. Come and find me?"

She cowers, tattered and chill.. The tears don't come.. They can't come.. All that she had given, all that she had done.. It.. really didn't matter in the end.. How foolish could she be.. so naive..

"All I wanted to say was I love you and I'm not afraid..." Her last thoughts that meant anything at all.. Her eyes drain of emotion. Frozen.

"I miss the winter.. a world of fragile things. Say goodnight. Don't be afraid. Calling me, calling as you fade to black.."

A cold figure pauses amongst the cold trees. She exhales, silently hoping that her breath would lift the awful heaviness from her chest.. Feeling?..

Guilt?.. Anguish?.. Pain?.. Remorse?..

Not yet.. Just turn around.

~ This shall not be offered as a print.. Four prints were made of this, and two were given away to Amy Lee (the lead singer) and Ben Moody (co-founder, ex-guitarist) of Evanescence, respectively.

Yes, her bodyguard came out into the line and asked around until people pointed me out to him. Then he got me to write down my contact information, but I never heard back about anything until I saw the DVD... they didn't even tell me it was going to be on the DVD! Oh well, it just made the surprise that much better. <3

Oh my gosh! i remember that part in the DVD i only got to see a glimpse of the picture tho, and I'm glad to find it here! Amy seemed like she really liked it, and Terry was like "They got it from Walmart" LoL

Thanks. I actually did sign it "A.Li" on the front, but I guess she didn't see that. A few minutes after she looked at it, she asked her bodyguard to go out to the line and find me so I can give my contact info.

I love the picture! The tattered wings and the colors and the borders on the bottom are just... Wow....

You lucky, lucky person... This is going to sound cliche. but I'm not sure if anyone really knows how bad I'd love to give Amy Lee one of my paintings..... or poems - I've posted them on EvThreads, but I doubt she's read them..... I couldn't care less if it ended up on a DVD or not, I'd just like to see Amy face-to-face, or at least know what she says about my arts... She's such an amazing person - we could use more people in the world like her.... Then again, the originality is part of her amazing...ness...

You met Amy Lee... WOW.... How did that happen?!?!? The meet-n-greet I was signed up for ended up being canceled - WHY DO I HAVE TO LIVE IN OHIO?!?!?!?!?!?! They never come around these days!!! What I wouldn't give to see them in the Quick-n-Loans arena... We know someone who works there, so we'd be really close.... The one concert I did go to was in PA, and it cost us 300 dollars..... *If anyone was at the Sovereign Center in Reading, PA on 4-2-07and saw the girl with the notebook, that was me desperately trying to keep the memories as fresh and accurate as possible!*

I've met Amy about four times, actually... I'll list them.

#1 - February 2003. Evanescence played at a small 200-person venue (The Loft in Poughkeepsie, NY), and the whole band came out to the mosh pit to meet the audience afterwards. This was before "Fallen" even came out. I got to meet both Amy and Ben.

#2 - September 2003. In August, I met and began E-mailing Ben. When Evanescence came to NYC (Webster Hall) in September, I talked with Ben a little and he invited me to be put on the VIP guest list of the show they were taping for FUSE TV so I got to be in the audience. When Amy and Ben came out, they all greeted the audience and gave us hugs and such.

#3 - February 2004. This was when I met Amy and gave her a print of this painting outside of Roseland Ballroom in NYC. After I gave it to her, I went back into line... and her bodyguard came out and said "Where's the girl who gave Amy the painting?" and the people in the line all pointed to me. So I wrote my contact info down on a piece of paper for him.

#4 - October 2006. I met her again outside of the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC and gave her a print of the portrait I did of her. I also met Terry and teased him for saying my painting was from Walmart on the DVD.

Other than Ben and some amazing people who liked me enough to be nice to me (Like Amy's bodyguard) I don't have any contacts.

HOLY CRAP!!!!

WOOOOOOW... you're still the luckiest person I've ever met....

What are they like in real life? Especially Terry and Ben - you don't see them nearly as much as you see Amy in interviews and things like that....

Ben would still be amazing to contact!!! Amy's not the only one in the band!!! Well, Ben's not there anymore, but still!!! Origin and all the EPs - and of course Fallen - were so awesome... :drools:
