Yes, their relationship is quite different in the show, because we don't have their point of view like in the books, they have to make things differently. I started to see the books and the show as separate creations, in order to really appreciate the show.

I think that Sansa would have loved Tyrion, she should be happy its not Joffery or Jaime

Just because he treats her like a normal human being doesn't mean she has to love him.
The readers love Tyrion because they know his POV. Sansa doesn't. You forgot he's a Lannister, and for her at this time of the story it means the enemy. Why should she be happy to marry an enemy, a man ugly and way older than her?...

Not sure what you're trying to say, but it looks furiously like "If I have a good behavior with a damsel in distress, the damsel should be my reward".

Ah yes, maybe in different circumstances they could have been friends... alas, GRR. Martin has a habit to give a harsh life to his characters and he likes to broke our poor readers' hearts! ^^
Thank you for your kind words. <3

No problem! I love your interpretation of Arya!! She's looks young and boyish, like described in the book, not like an old scraggly man-weasel hybrid that seems to be everywhere else ahaha(: Keep up the super awesome work!<33

the quiet despiration in both of their expressions is extremely well done. Tyrion's quiet plea to try and avoid further embarrassment, and Sansa's stubborn fear portayed almost exactly how i pictured it. fantastic.

Goddammit, Sansa. The man maybe as ugly as The Maid of Tarth herself, but he saved you from Joffrey's cruelty. The least you could have done was kneel for him....

Algesiras In reply to DeadPegasus [2012-03-24 16:04:25 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, Sansa, you should submit, be a good little girl and marry a man you don't like, way older than you, whom the family has murdered yours. / sarcasm
Sorry but I'm a little tired of the Sansa bashing.

DeadPegasus In reply to Algesiras [2012-03-24 16:23:50 +0000 UTC]
I'm not talking about kneeling as in submitting. I'm talking about kneeling so the poor man doesn't have to debase himself by climbing on some fool's back to pin his wife's new cloak on. A wife he doesn't even want.

Algesiras In reply to DeadPegasus [2012-03-24 16:54:08 +0000 UTC]
She doesn't know that. WE know Tyrion's thoughts so we are sad for him, she doesn't. That's why this scene is so heartbreaking, they are both humiliated and don't want to be here. But none of them is to blame.

Such a painful scene for both of them. While many people hate Sansa I don't. I think she is naive but that's like many of us at a young age. People seem to forget Sansa is 13 a child against people who are up to their mid 50's (Tywin). The fact that both of them are like an awkward couple in high school really stickith me. And you captured that exactly thank you

Algesiras In reply to danteas [2012-01-06 21:11:04 +0000 UTC]
Wow, thank you. I agree 100% with this, I'm quite tired of the Sansa-bashing. I noticed there are generally much more hatred for the female characters than for the males in ASOIAF.
While it's a sad scene, I can't help to admire Martin's genius way of creating odd couples even for a little moment. ^^
And, thanks a lot for the +fav! ^3^ <3

Poor Sansa, she's so naive and can't see through people, which is why she can recognise who is an ally and who's the enemy.

She can't have access to Tyrion's thoughts, like we (the readers) do. ^^ I agree she was very naive concerning Cersei, but at the moment of this scene, you can't ask her to find an ally amongst the Lannisters. It's a little too much to ask, IMHO. ^^

Madness4eto In reply to Algesiras [2011-12-29 14:35:26 +0000 UTC]
Ok, gotta agree with you on that one, but she's been naive and fell for Joffrey, Littlefinger, the Queen of Thorns' plots and despite being sympathetic for the loss of her family, I still can't forgive her about lying when she should have defended Arya.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Algesiras In reply to Madness4eto [2011-12-29 16:52:41 +0000 UTC]
Yes I agree, she's not a really good sister, neither is Arya.
(spoilers below)... When they are separated, they never think about each other or try to find each other. ;_;
About the scene with Joffrey vs Arya, it reveals the fail of her diplomacy. Lying to be on the Prince's side when she should have stand for her sister, is what made us hate her. But her diplomacy will keep her alive all the time she's with the Lannisters.

Madness4eto In reply to Algesiras [2012-01-03 11:03:41 +0000 UTC]
I don't think she's that smart (yet) to be diplomatic, it's more like her courtesy and lady-like attitude that saved her skin so far, but she's evolving I believe into a more cunning and sly character using her femininity and innocent looks.
