Description
Playing around with SAI, an awesome japanese painting tool. Picture heavily inspired by Mélanie Delon. I want my faces to look as alive those she does >.<But SAI is nice, very smooth and intuitive... hmm, i have to get used to it, its far better than openCanvas which i was using till now.
I don't really like the colors in this piece, they still look flat and artificial...

I painted in Photoshop for about 5 years. Now I paint in SAI for 3 years and my joy has no limit.

wow!!! How do you get so great effects with Sai? o_o I recently downloaded that program and just *love* doing linearts with it, but didn't quite figure out how to paint "painterly" with it (you know, like photsh. or painter)
Could you give me a few tips, e.g. with what brush did you paint this?

Yes indeed, just finished my putz, will have to look into the program more. It feel nice, is simple but maybe is to simple in options... do you know if you can make custom brushes? like a speckle brush or something?

here you go, extract that to the sai folder, theres some textures and text files, you got to overwrite these, so the program will know it has those textures. then you can use them in the brush settings.
i also made some brushes for hair.
