ok, I'm totally geeking out here, but I absolutely LOVE Hellboy!!!!!
It's only in the past couple of weeks that I've been collecting the actual Mignola comics, of which I have become obsessed! His artistic 'editing' and understanding of light and shadow is a thing to be worshiped, and studied like a motherf#$%er!

Yeah, I totally love HB too, but it's really too bad that comics come out so infrequently that DEAL with our good ol' Beast of the Apocalypse. sadface, take us out: :'(

Mignola rocks! Have you seen the Aliens story he did with dave gibbons? Check it out, he uses a more "realistic" style, really cool, also the old Batman 1869 (or something like that) he did is amazing.

Impressive sketches! I've never actually seen the comics, only the movies (and just the first one at that) but maybe I'll have to check them out sometime; if the work can inspire this kind of stuff then surely it must be worth it.
