Description
One of my final University projects- this is a solid oak chest inspired by the Rohan culture from 'The Lord of the Rings', so features lots of Celtic knots and horse motifs. The handles, hinges, and latch have been forged by hand and are my first attempt at blacksmithing. The decorative front panels are sculpted and cold cast using brass powder and the main box is constructed from quartersawn panels- so lots of lovely grain pattern. For the context of the brief it is a 'treasure chest prop', but really it's a tool box
