Description Here is another cult classic for the Nintendo 64. Yoshi's Story. The gameplay is a standard platform game where Yoshi can flutter, ground pound, throw eggs and swallow enemies with your tongue. It's just like Yoshi's Island, but this time there's no Baby Mario, at least you won't get annoyed playing this. What is new about this game is that you can choose the Yoshi you want to play as and if one of the Yoshis die you have to choose another one, Yoshis are kind of like lives in this game, if you run out of Yoshis, it's game over. Unlike Yoshi's Island, this game has a health bar. What is unique about this game is that it takes place in a pop-up storybook. The graphics are fine and very colorful. However, with all of that, there is a big downside to this game, the difficulty. This game is really easy the whole way through. Seriously, this game has a total lack of challenge, there are so many things that can heal you. What makes it worse is that one of the boss battles can actually heal you everytime you attack it with your tongue. WHAT BOSS BATTLE DOES THAT?! Boss battles are supposed to try to kill you, not heal you. Yeah, with this kind of difficulty for a game, it's targeted for little kids. Overall, Yoshi's Story is definitely no masterpiece, not the worst, just ok. I give it a 6.5/10. It could have been a better game if it wasn't so easy, but for what it is, it's ok.
