I believe he was. He was a male in the show, but I heard that he was a girl in the Japanese version. The show was actually dubbed in English first, but the second season made it to Japan first.

The gundams do talk to much in a fight, maybe thats why they have such a hard time beating the dark axis sometimes. And we wonder why in all shows the one who never talks in the one who is always kickass
