Is this a robot someone built or a form that Rinoa's taking?

nice work! robo-rinoa is really detailed. i like how her eyes are blank and statue-like, but she's obviously not just an inanimate angel.

she could have been pretty useful in-game like this except she'd be weak to thunder... hmm. maybe she needs a lighting rod?

Oh, I didn't know Rinoa was into metal.

...

My apologies for the horrid pun there.

Magnificent, that's all I can say. She looks metallic enough, but I'll give you a piece of advice when you color metal : try to think of adding a backlight, it generally helps giving an even more metallic look. She might also lack some shadows/highlights on her chest part, too. But the rest is just perfect

hmm...now that you mention it, it lacks that metallic shine a bit, yes.
Um, any tips or links that i can use? xD

A tip... always keep in mind that a metallic object reflects itself and the surrounding environment. Well, here, there's no background, but she can still reflect herself. Think of where two parts of her reflect each other (for example her armpit and her arm, her face and her hair, her hair and her wings) and put a brighter color there. But for it to be effective, you also have to darken the shadows first (I often use the Levels in Photoshop to do that). You might also want to give more "glow" to the parts where the main light hits directly.

As for links... I think a good reference would be looking directly at 3D examples of metallic women. You might find some on the web, if not, I'll note them to you (the links might be a bit too "mature content" to just comment them xD). I've also used a bit of a metallic colouring on Laughing Octopus' suit in one of my artworks, might also help : [link]

Hope that will help you enough !

Oh, by the way, the requests you've been doing lately aren't in your request list in jour journal, are they ? Maybe should you think of updating it, I might have something to propose you for the prizes of the contest when you have catched up with your requests.
