For Christmas this year, I was lucky to receive Disney's second Archive Series book, "Animation". The book contains tons of original Disney sketches of classic characters by legendary animators! One of the featured characters in the book was Shere Khan from "The Jungle Book". The character will be played by Benedict Cumberbatch in the upcoming film remake.ΒRelated content

Oh, Benedict Cumberbatch played Shere Khan in "Mowgli," the darker version of "The Jungle Book" that was released recently!

George Sanders was undeniably epic as Shere Khan in the original animated feature, although, I must say that the depiction of the tiger as a more neutral businessman and CEO, along with being voiced by Tony Jay, in the TaleSpinΒ series was also pretty dang awesome.
There's quite a bit to be learned about being a suave, dashing bad boy from ol' Shere Khan.
