Ta-da! My entry for the Freedom Contest for MangaAnimeAndMore. Probably took me bout 30 or more hours to complete, but I'm extremely pleased with the result. I've never done anything like this before so it's easy to say that this is my best digital piece ever.

For the first time in her very short life, Gyra is feeling at home in the world and at peace with herself. They, the elves, have just told Gyra what she was, that she was one of them, not human in nature, but an elf. Her whole life made sense all of the sudden, all the times she was excluded by the other children because she did something strange or unusual, the inhuman strength she possessed, the speed at which she could heal herself, the odd way her eyes changed color according to her mood. All of it was perilously because she wasn't human.

Gyra enjoyed the scenery of Fearndale forest, playing with the fairies and garbed in the traditional clothing of the eleven people.

Freedom for me is the ability to be your-self and to be comfortable in you're own skin. Cliche, I know, but it's what I believe ^^

Colored and finished with deviantART muro (thank the stars that DA didn't glitch on me (but more so the staff that fixes DA bugs ), I'd probably of quit if it undid all of my work. Just. So. Much. Time.)
