oh the beauty of the desert, I know it very well since I live in one. The Desert of Samalayuca in Chihuahua, Mexico. There is more vegetation here and the sand is almost white. I like red sand too. This will be added to my favorites.

This is a beautifull captured "study" of lines and curves with a shot of color to boast. First I love the hue of the desert sands - a rust colored hue, rich and warm. Now the lines and curves. First and foremost our attention is immediately drawn to the rope half-buried in the sand. It is coiled and it's curves undulate in and out of the sand. It accents the waves of ripples/the waves of lines that also undulate accross the surface of the desert sands. The line from the desert dune in the background sweeps down in a "gentle flow" which then focuses our attention back down to the ripples in the sand.

very cool.. i love the ripples in the sand, the color of the sand is just amazing too.. works so perfectly because of the white rope, it just stands out so well. nice job. beautiful picture. i would love a picture with just the curves in the dunes.

very true, i think i do like this better than the usual desert scene. i'm just saying that the contours and shapes from the wind just look so beautiful. i really love this picture.

Yeah, it caused by Ferrum Oxide, it makes the sand red, it can be seen in the entire Abu Dhabi Emirate...
Thanks For thy comment

The first thing that strikes me is the focusing - the clarity of the ropes is pretty good. Also the contrasting colours of the sand - works well. The simplicity of the sand dune is cool - even though it's just a sand dune, there's a lot of nice texturing to it and colour variation.
Nice shot!
