Byorak was the first ever MOC I had seen from Alex. I remember that I wasn't expecting much when he first asked me to take a look, but I was pleasantly surprised when I clicked on the link and the page loaded.
Byorak has come a long ways. Alex followed some advice from me I believe, and that was to keep working on the designs and improve. And in doing so Byorak has grown, literally in size and figuratively.
Vision gets a full e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="17" height="16" alt="" title="Star!"/>e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="17" height="16" alt="" title="Star!"/>e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="17" height="16" alt="" title="Star!"/>e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="17" height="16" alt="" title="Star!"/>e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="17" height="16" alt="" title="Star!"/> because I think Alex has either completely or just about completely get this MOC where he wants it. If not then maybe a e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="17" height="16" alt="" title="Half Star"/> reduction might be needed. But I think the uncompleted vision is so minute that its not.
Originality gets a e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="17" height="16" alt="" title="Star!"/>e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="17" height="16" alt="" title="Star!"/>e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="17" height="16" alt="" title="Star!"/>e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="17" height="16" alt="" title="No Star"/>e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="17" height="16" alt="" title="No Star"/> because the way Alex has used the parts and the over all concept of Byorak is very typical. Most everything used on byorak makes sense to be used that way, the serpent head as a gauntlet, or other various animal parts on him. Though Byorak isn't completely without innovative parts use. The Takanuva masks on the upper chest is unusual and not seen used this way but then again, most MOCs aren't big enough to allow for that. The Eehlek head as a crotch piece is a bit unusual, but it works. I personally wouldn't call that much attention to my MOC's crotch, making it look like he's wearing skimpy underwear, but it does work, I'll admit.
Conceptually, Byorak is a Dark Hunter, a type of character established in the bionicle lore. So nothing all that unique there. I often root my MOCs in bionicle lore as well. But Originality isn't everything in my book, so I find it to not be a big deal.
Technique is no surprise here. a full e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title="Stare"/>e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title="Stare"/>e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title="Stare"/>e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title="Stare"/>e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title="Stare"/> as usual. Byorak displays Alex's most fluent and well thought out use of armoring and parts layering. He's gotten the parts so compactly in there that I almost wonder if any of the pieces are flexed or bent to stay in their place. I believe the term for this is "fudging it." But I'd have to ask alex if that's the case.
The color scheme has been greatly improved over the different versions, now the dark green is isolated to Byorak's limbs and head, black on the inner side of his arms and silver filling in the rest.
Impact gets a full e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="17" height="16" alt="" title="Star!"/>e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="17" height="16" alt="" title="Star!"/>e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="17" height="16" alt="" title="Star!"/>e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="17" height="16" alt="" title="Star!"/>e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="17" height="16" alt="" title="Star!"/> I simply think this is one of the best pure bionicle MOCs that I've ever seen. This is the MOC that singlehandedly commanded a lot of respect from me towards Alex and earned him a place as my favorite Deviantart MOCer(possibly tied with *Rahiden
Alex has put a lot of effort into Byorak, upgrading him, acquiring just the right parts or the parts in the right color to make this MOC exactly what he want it to be. Its paid off. This is still his best MOC to date in my opinion.

2 things
1: He looks like a green Avalanche (you remember rahiden right?)
2: Why is his crotch glow-in-the-dark?

1: Well, they have similar body structures.
2: This parts doesn't glow in the dark, but I get your point, it was corrected in a later version: alex-darkrai.deviantart.com/ar…

If I were able to write a critique about how awesome this moc is, I would. I love how well the armor fits together, and how fully custom it is! If I were to go in detail about everything this would be a super long comment! Well done, you've earned yourself a llama!!! 0w0

Your bio for him reminded me. I think a certain warrior of mine that he might find worth needs a weapon, cause he's just using secondary weapons. I've needed to design a new weapon for this warrior, but I'm not nearly as good at it as you are. Maybe Byorak could help.

Are you talking about Ryakk? xD
Or didn't you want to give Mototaur an axe once?

Hmmm...dunno. Something I could replicate obviously, less you feel like sending me parts. haha. So not too much greebling/system lego fanciness. But as for what kind of weapon, I dunno, what do you think would suit Ryakk?

My first impression when seeing him was always 'spear' or 'lance'
He's not the sword, axe or hammer type in my opinion. Are guns an option, anyways?

Hmmm well he had that drill axe thingy, which worked, but it was too flimsy for him. It wobbled and bent too much, so I did away with it. Since then he hasn't really had a weapon. I think a spear or lance would be kind of neat yeah. As for guns...You know, I don't really know. None of those guys have guns. I've always seen Ryakk as more of the hand to hand combat kind of fighter.

My idea as well, I just wanted to ask for your opinion.
Anyways, did you get my message with the link for the picture of Zero?
Also, could you take a picture of all the parts you could use for that weapon? A pile picture like this [link] is enough for me to get an idea of what you have to spare. But I still may come back at you when it come to the amounts of certain technic pieces.

Cool but it's a bit weird that the light green is on the crotch, that's the first thing I see on the moc itself 0_0

Yeah, the size gave me a hard time. Armoring something big is huge load of work.
I better at working on titan size. Colossus is not my favorite.

I Dont want to offend any of you but i hope none of you are over 15 cos these are toys, If you want to be genuinely creative and original, Go learn 3D modelling or somthing similar. This is just toys and yet it is cool how you guys mix and match peices to get what you want. But unless your designing and building the parts your self its just a toy and your just playing with a toy.

You've got to be kidding me.
Firstly, it's 'you're'.
Secondly, how dare you accuse us of not being 'genuinely creative'. MOCing is an art form. There's even a category in deviantart for it.
I could go on but I will allow others to do so. I've had enough of dealing with people like you.
