Awe yes I Β forgot ulises!
I thought tilikum was estimated 35? I guess we can't be sure.
I'll edit the info though, thank you!

Yeah it's always unclear with the captures, they just guessed the ages.
He was captured at the end of 1983Β and it's written he was 2-3 years old at the time (depending on which site you look at)
But this ceta-base.com/documents/iwc/iw⦠says he was 4.2 meters and according to Killer whale growth rate defined by Duffield and Miller, that would put him at 4 years. But then we also know Tilikum is a large individual. So yeah. Who knows LOL.
Tilikum may be the famous and popular one, but Ulises is my favorite. He's the silent achiever xp

Bingo is probably my favourite living one (he's supposedly rather sick I hear), though I love Orky 2 and Hyak 2 and Kandu 7! Oh, Keiko too!
It really is tough to know. And Ulises is such a small whale, it's weird how i works! It's a shame Ulises has trouble breeding, because that really could have helped achieve better genetic diversity (not that I think they should be bred in the first place but ugh the gene pool is a mess right now!)Β

Ah, I know more about this individual real-life orca than any other individual real-life and I always feel very sorry for him... awkward sounding sentence I suppose, but anyway, lovely picture of him... ;o;Β

Tilikum has certainly had a rough life, and it's still pretty bland :/
thanks btw!

No wonder he killed 3 people. He probably has had more fun in doing that than anything else in his life in captivity
