status: Kandu died shortly after this scene depicted, but Orkid is still alive and if the oldest captive born killer whale!

I promised I would draw these two in just a nice scene one day. This was a gift for my mother on Mother's day (though I finished it late!) and was certainly a fun experiment. I used a blending marker instead of burnishing on this piece, the result was a softer colour and a less strained wrist lol. Some of the reflections could definitely be whiter but ah well.
It's also not as green in real life. The scan didn't pick up on the colour very well and when I tried to brighten it it really greened it up. It does have some green but it's definitely bluer, with some purple even!
Oh well I had fun, hope you like it! Feedback is read and always appreciated!

It's really sad that Orkid was orphaned so young. Kandu's death was especially sad since she died during a show.
