Now, this obviously isn't Doomguy. It's a random space marine that probably died shortly after the invasion. Gave him some equipment from the game (Shells, backpack, pouches(?), assault rifle, pistol)Drawn in school. No references, etc.

Drawn in school with no references!? You modeled the helmet well then. It's something I struggle with even when source material is available.
Was about to ask if this was inspired by Brutal Doom, because you have the Assault Rifle as the starting weapon in that.

Thanks! But this stuff is 5 years old, I could draw it a lot better now. Not really difficult to get his helmet right, It's so unique!
And nah, I dislike brutal doom. Got the idea for the rifle based off the player model - you can never unsee that rifle after hours of zdaemon deathmatches.
