Personality:
Adult-- Sensitive || Outgoing || Temper || Realistic || Compassionate
[Sensitive] Kitus is very sensitive to what is said to him or others. Growing up after his tribe was revealed was hard for him, and caused him to become very quick to react. He had always been his father's prize son, but it all changed almost with a flip of a switch. The healer is very attuned to others emotions and the words they say. Even if something is said not to mean any harm, he may take it seriously and react because of this. He knows where he stands and often hates when he is treated as not worthless. His emotions are all wound up tightly, ready to be shot out when something is said.
[Outgoing] He vowed to not be like his father, so he loves meeting new cats. He is excited to be able to fit in and feel like he belongs. Especially with being a healer he likes to know as many cats as possible so that if they need help he will be able to socialize at the same time. He likes to be comfortable with others and likes to know that they are comfortable with him. He knows that being a Healer is a special job, and relishes in that fact. This helps him to not be shy because he knows he is needed. Kitus knows that to use his powers to full effect he needs to feel safe around others, and wants them to feel safe with him. This causes him to be outgoing as he wants to meet lots of cats.
[Temper] Due to his sensitivity and the treatment he received from his father, he can get angry very easily. He feels ashamed because of this because he doesn't want to be like Dante, but this causes him to. He can snap in a split second and go into a rage of anger at the simplest thing. If something isn't done right or placed properly, and Kitus isn't in the best of moods, he will grow angry. He sometimes can't control it, and afterwards he 'kicks' himself because of it. He often tries to keep it under check, but knows that it's there. It's one of the parts he hates about himself, and when he is mulling over thoughts like these, when the guilt or anger from his past build up, is when his temper is more likely to show.
[Realistic] Some could say that Kitus hates falseness. He hates made up stories and can often be a downer when it comes to imagination. Dante raised him to fight and see the real world, with the bloodshed and hatred of others. Kitus likes to keep everything simple, and most of all real. He finds kit stories to be full of lies and doesn't do anything but disappoint them later. Being realistic makes him to be very truthful as he knows that if he tells a lie or gives a story, he is not being realistic. He doesn't like to skirt around the main point and gets right to it, though he does so gently. Even though he believes a straight story is the proper way to go, he knows others are not the same so he is sure to be gentle and caring. Though, when faced with foolishness such as monsters and scary creatures, he is not at all gentle. He'll bluntly point out that they are fake.
[Compassionate] Even though Kitus can be harsh with the truth, he is often showing concern with how harsh he is. The Blue-Light will do everything in his power to relay news as carefully as he can, though never leaving the bad stuff out. This makes him a better healer in ways too as when others are hurt he feels so deeply moved and wants to help them as fast as he can. He also shows large amounts of sympathy to those who seem angry constantly. He knows what it's like to be angry, and he knows how it feels. This causes him to understand other's emotions a bit better and he is very compassionate about being healer, as always wanting to prove his father wrong.
Brief Backstory:
[Pre Birth] After the first war, many cats were exiled or ran. Among them was a Green-Earth, named Oden. He had spent the first 3 years of his life with the tribes, being born into Earth-Tribe, and having the Spirits bless him with the Earth Tattoo. Though never finding a mate, he was popular among his clanmates, and he had liked a she-cat. She was unfortunately killed in the war, causing Oden to despise the whole cause, thus being exiled and considered a traitor. His tattoo was marked with four long scratches, and he fled, not knowing exactly where he was going. Moons passed and he had settled down with several other exiled cats from all different tribes. Here, Oden met his mate, an exiled Orange-Shadow named Hyra. It took time for them to become mates though, as Hyra didn't want her kits to grow up outside the Tribes. After many moons, and almost a season, of courting, Oden won Hyra over and they had three kits. All males, who they deemed Seer, Tyun and Dante. Oden and Hyra knew their kits would receive tattoos, as they had seen it happen among the exiled. The three kits grew up normally and happily, each receiving their tattoos when the Spirits blessed them. Seer received a Shadow tattoo, while Tyun and Dante both received Fire tattoos. As they grew, they slowly went their own ways, saying good bey to Odena and Hyra to go to other exile groups and start their own lives. They would still see their now aging parents, a bit, but not much. Dante left when he was a season old, and joined a different exile group where her met Cion, a Gray-Fire. They grew to be best friends, and then mates. Cion knew Dante was ambitious and sometimes cruel, but still, she had his kits.
[Birth] Cion gave birth to three kits, one tom and two she-cats, when she was 2 1/2 seasons old. They were the joys of her life, and she couldn't be happier. Their son, whom they named Twist, was Dante's pride and joy. From the minute Twist could walk and navigate without falling over too much, Dante taught him how to fight and hunt. He wanted his son to become a strong warrior, to be able to protect the exiles and find a mate of his own. Twist learned fast under his fathers watch, and wanted to make Dante proud. Twist truly believed he could become the best warrior, as long as he had his father to teach him. He thrived and even at a young age he was stronger than most. Cion watched from the sidelines, her kind heart only hoping Twist would not be hurt. She only wanted the best for her son, warrior or no warrior. Being so favoured by Dante, Twist felt as if he were better than others and flaunted himself in front of other kits. Other kits looked up to him in awe. Dante was almost a legend to the young kits who had heard stories of the brave fighter. So Twist being Dante's son made him even better.
[Post Birth] Then, one day, the Spirits blessed them, adorning them with Gray or Black tattoos. Twist saw his sisters had received Air and Water tattoos, and they seemed to shine in the sun. Twist was equally excited and went up to Cion. He had not been able to see a tattoo on his shoulders or back, which left only his face! Oh the joy he had within him as he hoped and prayed that there was a Fire tattoo on his face. Instead, Cion purred and touch his forehead. "Congratulations my son. You have been so blessed to be chosen for Light-Tribe." Twist didn't know what to do. Light-Tribe? Why had he never heard of Light-Tribe? What did his tattoo look like. He knew it must be as cool as Fire-Tribe by his mothers response. Going to the nearest pool of water, he looked for his reflection and saw the star shaped tattoo on his forehead and chest. The young tom had seen a few cats with such a tattoo, though he had never asked for answers to which tribe they might have been from. Wondering what the Light-Tribe did, he waited for Dante to get back from hunting. Oh how happy Dante would be to see his son blessed with such a stunning tattoo! Even Cion had said he was blessed! Purring and curling his tail, he knew that this day was definitely a good day. Even if he wasn't marked with the Fire tattoo, he had been marked with the Light tattoo! What could be cooler than that!?
When Dante came back, he quickly saw his daughters with their tattoos. Praising them for such nice tribes, he quickly found Twist who could barely contain his excitement. "Look Dante! Cion said I was very blessed to be a part of the Light-Tribe! Now I can be a great warrior just like you!" His voice rose and fell with sharp pitches as his happiness bursted. Dante didn't reply right away, and seeing the look in his father's eyes, his tail drooped a bit. "D-dante?" Dante narrowed his eyes, his teeth barred slightly. Not saying a word, he struck out with his paw, catching the stumbling kit on the nose. Yelping, Twist ran away from Dante, not fully understanding what had just happened. So he ran to Cion, he comforted and soothed the gray-light, assuring him Dante would come around.
Later in the night, Twist heard Dante outside. Crawling out tentatively, he saw Dante motion to him to follow. Twist's hopes went up. Had his father forgiven him? Following quietly, he was surprised as Dante leaped out of the darkness, claws digging into the young toms shoulders. Twist yelped and tried to break free, and Dante let go, standing over his one favoured son, anger flowing through his eyes. "You're a disgrace to me and this family! My son, my prized son, as a healer!? You're a warrior! Born to fight! At least, you were supposed to be." Dante's words were whipped at his face, and he cowered underneath the larger tom. Dante then left, going back to his den and mate. Trying to recover from his shock and pain, he tried to clean himself up, taking hours. A healer? How could he be a healer? Struggling back to their den, he heard the soft breathing of those inside. Opting to take the safe route, he laid down on the cold ground, scratches stinging. He swore he would forget this night, never wanting to remember it again. Dante never once again attacked Twist, mostly because of the words of Cion. The Black-Fire was not afraid though to spit brutal words at Twist, making the young tom scared. Twist told himself he wouldn't be like Dante. He'd grow to be a great healer, to prove his father wrong.
Lots happened between when he got his tattoo and past that. His family had heard of exiles rejoining the tribes, but his parents didn't want to make the journey. Twist was disappointed by this as he was hoping to see what the tribes were like. He continued on with his life, avoiding his father and staying close to his mother. Soon they heard that the tribes and past exiles were moving and would be coming this way. Cion and Dante were unsure as they liked their home, and didn't want to get involved with Tribe disputes. They had decided to not join the tribes as they passed through, and Twist's sisters agreed to staying with their parents. The young Gray-Light didn't feel comfortable with this decision and as soon as the tribes came close enough, he left his parents and went to the tribes. He realized he wasn't the only one and was able to go with many other cats. Here he saw in a river that his usually gray tattoo was now blue instead. He also received his new name, Kitus. He took pride in being able to leave his past behind. Finally feeling accepted somewhere, by his new home and the spirits, Kitus continued the move with his new tribe mates.
[Apprentice] Kitus was assigned his mentor of Kenieen, who he tolerated but was never able to fully grow close to him. Kitus loved being a healer, and met many different cats. He even healed his first patient, Ross.
[Adolescent] After the caimans came, Kitus learned that Kenieen was gone, having fled the tribes.

Private RP with ShhItsDark and her character Sooka
Looking down she decided to shovel the snow out of the way so she could sit and stay sort of dry. Kicking and scooping the snow, she shivered as it clumped farther up her legs. She acted as if she weren’t paying attention to the oncoming cat, but her ears stayed swiveled in her direction, keeping tabs. Was this cat possibly dangerous? Alasse’s powers couldn’t help at all with fighting at this moment, and she hoped someday they would. Of course, she was a miner, not a warrior. She had no need to fight. Though, every cat would be expected to fight if there was need of a fight. Hopefully that wouldn’t happen for a long time. She knew she wouldn’t want to participate in fighting.
Lifting her head, she realized the she-cat was closer than she had anticipated. The Pink-Orange Earth marveled at the other cat’s dotted, silvery pelt. Striking amber eyes were set on her face and gave the cat a striking appearance. On the she-cats shoulder was a Pink-Orange tattoo, such as her own, but the tattoo of Water-Tribe sat there instead. The tattoo seemed to blend with the she-cat’s speckled appearance. The wave giving way speckles of grays and black stripes along her legs. Alasse almost envied the other she-cat’s ‘sparkling’ appearance compared to her own, simple pelt.
Tilting her head, she wasn’t sure what to make of the other Pink-Orange. She was the first Water-Triber she had met. She didn’t count her mother since she had been an exile. Did all cats from Water-Tribe look like this? With thin, smooth fur and exquisite appearances to match? Alasse wasn’t sure and she made sure to size the other she-cat up. They had similar sizes, so size wouldn’t be to any advantage in a fight. Alasse doubted a fight would come. This she-cat seemed neutral enough, and why would they fight anyways?
She snapped back to attention when the she-cat spoke. A quirky smile lifted on Alasse’s face. She wasn’t as timid as before, and she was happy knowing that she could encounter this she-cat without any fear of meeting new cats. “Ah, but there’s so much to discover, so why not wander? As I can see you have done the same.” Her voice was light as she spoke with calm assurance that this cat would be no threat to her and that she could relax her shoulders and possibly get to know this dappled cat. Maybe even as a friend. Though Alasse couldn’t tell. In the back of her mind she hoped she could. She had ruined it horribly with Otter, and that had put her in a different mindset. She hoped she could someday fix it with him, and maybe even become his friend. For now the brown she-cat focused on this new Triber in front of her, focusing blue eyes on the amber ones of the Water-Triber.
