Description
This was a project I've been working on and off and that took quite some effort to complete. My task was to create a demon that is a mixture between a Balrog and wolf yet feasible enough to become an actual costume.Loads of hours have flown into the initial design before colouring and I had tons of fun playing with light and fire. I've always wanted to paint an actual balrog but creating a character of this sort even made me happier.
This is for chaseth chaseth - a highly detailed charactersheet. This one doesn't contain all elements of the original charactersheet. I excluded other details to make the look of the sheet more comfortable. ^^

You definitely pulled off the balrog/wolf combination. I'm astounded at how well the characteristics of both pulled through. By all means, it doesn't sound like an easy task at all!
I also really love the lighting effects you've got going on there, from the fire and everything. I love how the character looks so dark and powerful, and yet has such beautiful colouring.
Your skill with texturing also amazes me to no end. Also, even though this isn't really a part of the picture, I really love the background colour of the sheet. The vague shapes in the distance sort of make me imagine this character emerging from the midst of smoke or something along those lines.

Ooh wow this is fantastic. The coloring is so delicious, and I love that back view particularly for the curve of the spine and shoulders, and how the 'armour' plating runs up it with the attachment of the wings. <3
