another satw fanart!

previously i made this: [link]

a picture of england, france, ireland, scotland, and wales of satw wearing their flag of the medieval age.

in that page someone commented and gave me the idea to make the nordic guys' version. i thought, i don't know, because as far as i know, the vikings haven't invented their flags in the viking age, but were flying raven banners instead.

but then.. meh, i'll just make it anyway. the ancient version of the nordic guys of satw.

from left to right:

iceland, norway, denmark, sweden, and finland.

because they haven't invented their flag, i used the colour of their modern flag in their shields. and because they were using raven banners, so the band is named the ravens from the north

unlike the medieval britain picture, this one is made without some particular research on the history. maybe someday i'll make another one after doing a research.. like, drawing iceland as gunnar hámundarson, the famous chieftain in brennu-njálssaga, or drawing norway as eric the red.. etc

anyway i hope you like it

plus i must say thank you to gréta salóme and jónsi, iceland's representative for eurovision song contest 2012 with their song "never forget", or in icelandic version, "mundu eftir mér".... because i listened this song when i'm drawing this, i don't know how but it just helped a lot. magical, magical song.
