Description Sugar skull inspired make-up.
(:

Note: I mean no offense to anyone with this make-up. I simply love the idea behind of calaveras de azúcar and Día de los Muertos.

and just for the record: sugar skulls were born in my country, in my city, from the head of a guy that lived near my house.  Mr Jose Guadalupe Posada

WOW did you colour your hair purple for this? Doesnt look like a wig... I'm gonna colour mine purple next week and i'm super-excited about it
Also, a friend of mine did her make-up in this style for halloween, though she then just used black, red and white. And it took her aaaaaages to finish, so she arrived late for our party
Anyway, I love it, also with the flowers and the green matching your eyes. I think the colours and flowers give some happiness to the death theme and kind of alleviate it.

It is a wig!! One of my favourites! (probably because it is purple)
Thank you! It was fun. the paint was a pain, but I love how it turned out.

diademuertos stalking time!!
are you familiar with the terms?
sugar skulls are meant to ease the departure of our loved people.
you may like to search for "Jose Guadalupe Posada" a guy born in my city worldly known for his calaveras.
Dia de muertos is not just a day but whole weeks of carnivals and festivities in my city.
id love to tell you more about them if you want me to. cheers!

Some! I wrote a paper about El Día de los Muertos for Gifted Spanish class in high school. I made sugar skulls and pan de muertos for it.
I've never heard of him before, but I've seen his art! These are really neat. (:

Calaveras were born feom his hand, in fact, calaveras on this lands, are certain kind of poetry too, which mainly focus on how a person will die (either to say they'll be missed, or, maybe because they drink too much or smoke too much)
They're fun, but is not as common as it used to be.
Nevert he less 90% of mexican traditions this days are based on Posada's work.
Ill go to the Posada´s museum to take some pics for you if you like
