Quick colour sketchy of Medicine Seller from Mononoke.Heheh, a much needed break from uni evilness.
Finally watched the end of this amazing anime and I'm putting this up as propaganda for all of you to GO WATCH THIS AWESOME ANIME.
I'm in love with it, the style, the stories and of course, the medicine seller.
It(he) is gorgeous.As I stated in my livejournal: This is why I rarely do fanart, because my style just doesn't lend itself to it and I usually end up massacring a character I really like.
Case in point.
Uh, yeah this was a quicky, notice sketchy lines and shite colour job, thus it'll be moved to scraps sooner or later.
Also... this is full size coz i am just that lame.

EDIT: I didn't draw the background, it's a photoshop montage of a couple of screens from the anime and an official bg. The logo is a vector I made of the logo that appears in the anime, minus the detail.

Mononoke only came out recently so it's fairly new but if you can get it and watch it, it's a great little anime, beautiful designs and great main character.

Mononoke, not related to the movie Princess Mononoke? Well, he seems interesting enough, Mr Medicine Seller.

No not related to Princess Mononoke. It's a horror story set in past Japan. The medicine seller (that's what he's know as throughout) goes around solving mononoke (like demons) problems and getting rid of them. The style is very unique, really beautiful and required getting used to but after the 2nd ep, i was badly hooked and I don't latch on to anime's all that easily.

This Mononoke is a spin off of Ayakashi Ghost Stories anime. It's a series of short horror stories where the main character, Medicine Seller (never know his name) goes and solves problems with mononoke (kind of like demons and ghosts) and people. It's a ghost story essentially but the style is very unique, very beautifully designed, though takes some getting used to initially, and the main character is amazing. I recommend it!
