The Ocean is sick. And it is only growing sicker.

The Daunko are a species that have been present for hundreds of years, monitoring the health of their home and protecting the legacy of their creators, the Atlaneans. A combination of Atlantean magic and science, they are capable of great feats of mind and body, able to withstand pressure and heat at the deepest of depths.

With the destruction of their Atlantean creators through a fatal and mysterious disease, the Daunko were left to their own devices, growing as an independent species. They made use of the deep sea thermals to create energy to fuel their hidden cities and further their development to a point on par with land dweller technology. While their technology was great, their affinity for magic was naturally far superior, allowing them to cloak themselves away from curious human eyes.

Over the years, multiple Daunko have traveled to the surface in disguised forms, at times being mistaken for gods, mermaids, and sea monsters. However, their only reason for these travels was to observe the actions of humans….and in recent years, they have become rather hostile towards humans as a species due to their wastefulness.

Oknu was chosen among a select few others to once again travel to the surface to observe and collect information the humans. Pollution had begun to reach depths they never thought possible, leaving them to once again confront the source. As an expert on human biology and behavior, Oknu was determined to seek out an organization that would possess the technology and connections that would allow them to observe these happenings in depth.

In their searching, they were discovered by I.S.C.A. and an altercation broke out that ended up in the injury of an agent via Oknu's own hand. Before things could escalate further, they realized that this organization was exactly what they had been seeking, and they quickly offered their services.

Now 12 years later, they are no closer to finishing their research as the anomaly has taken up most of their time. They aren't sure WHAT is going on with the stupid city, but there is no doubt it's some humans fault.

At least they can find joy in making their anthropology students miserable on the side.
