I just thought of something...
For a long time now, Superman and Batman have been partnered with each other (sorta). And the whole time, Superman was the good cop and Batman was kinda the bad cop. In the DCNU, however, Batman is willing to think things through and follow leads. Superman has by now stuffed a guy's head in a wall (the guy was attached, but still), and decapitated a para-demon with heat vision.
Batman is the good cop now, and Superman is the bad cop. Odd.
Still like DCNU Superman though.

I think they should have had the belt be gold. I feel like the new costume just has a lot of big blocks of uninterrupted dark blues... It's worse in the movie costume.

Thanks for the input. The colors of the new Superman belt is now red, but I understand what you mean. I kinda like the old school style. The new stuff is gonna have to grow on me.

Yeah I know it's supposed to be red.
I think, if I was the DC designer, I would have given him a gold belt and maybe put a bit of red on the area of his hips over the trochanter.
I get why they wanted to do away with the underwear, but it throws off his color balance a bit. i think a bit of red on the hip would fix it

Interesting thought. Too bad the creators don't ask for any input by the people who have been following these characters for years.
