EDIT 6/2/10: Okay, I finally updated the image to the color version. I have been waiting months debating whether I should make it a new deviation or just update this image. Sorry, hopefully you guys like the color better

Athena, for Troll Lord Games' Castles & Crusades: Of Gods & Monsters by Jim Ward.
Athena is the goddess of war and battle. She is also the goddess of wisdom. She is usually seen with a spear and the shield given to her by Zeus, with the head of Medusa at its center (I didn't paint it since you can't see it with this pose, ahahahahhaa!).

I have been looking at getting an Athena tattoo and this image really strikes me. A strong, powerful, beautiful depiction. I hope you don't mind if I get her image tattooed. I may just turn her around so I can put an owl on the shield to represent wisdom, but otherwise this is exactly what I am looking for.
