pets usually level a little after the hunter do. my hunter which im leveling at the moment is always one level over my pet. the pet 'starts' to level first when the hunter ding. It is a bit stupid.
Also it is stupid you can only tame animals under your level. I want a turtle pet, im 29. need to wait for 30 to tame those in tarren mill >_< but maybe it makes more sense tho.
another thing which is annoying is the fact tha tif you put your first pet in the stables and tames a new one, level a few level and takes your first pet out again, he will still be the same level as when you first putted him in in the first place. :<

omg awww x3
When you put pet in stables and leave it there a couple of levels you get the same problems. Which also makes the point with having two pets bad.
