Zoom in for detail, please.My sister and I drew this together.
The dragon is pretty much the castle itself. He's like the engine while the people live inside him...I guess. hehe. It's sort of like a parasite vs. host thing, but the parasite is good in this case. Organic and mechanical.
There are wings at the bottom to sort of help it "keep afloat."
~Done in pencil and Staedtler ink and Prisma colored pencil. Enjoy.

**We were inspired by the movie (and book) Howl's Moving Castle. (Myazaki's movies are always beautiful and amazing!) i don't think i spelled his name right...>>

Excellent details, the pic really has a nice flow to it. But u really darkened up your lines on the dragons head, did u do it on purpose bc everytime i look at the pic my eye jsut rolls towards the dragons head >_<. would love to see this piece colored ^^

This is similar to a strange dream I had once.. The habitation within dragon's body wasn't to the extent shown here, though.

Er, sorry to reply somewhat later. In my dream, the habitation within the dragon was more cavelike, somewhat like a humanoid ant colony. Most of the cool things it had could only be seen from within, ..but that would be really hard to show in a picture now wouldn't it?
