Description
Took a break from my other, more time-consuming projects to make up a quick self-portrait. Used my brand new Wacom Intuos Pen & Touch tablet! I missed having a tablet around.

I also used a different method of producing the art than I did previously. Normally, I create lineart and then add colors. This time, I started making blocks of color, and then gradually adding shape and form with colors rather than lines. It was a learning process, and I enjoyed it! I definitely think it's an improvement over my usual way of doing things.

This year, I learned in what ways improving traditional art skills can improve pixel art skills, and vice versa. I also learned to not be afraid of doing my own art, from scratch, without a base. As long as I'm patient, don't give up, and ask for feedback, I can create something in pixels that turns out almost exactly the same as what's in my head.
