It's crazy to think it's been ten years...
Yep, it's been a full ten years since I made that, my very first 3D render in DAZ Studio, launching the journey on DA I am known for today. I'd dabbled in 3D, mostly focusing on modeling for years prior, but DAZ opened up a whole new avenue for me where I could combine my interests in photography to my interests in 3D art. Looking back, I decided to make a new render as an homage to my first. Rather than showing off a bunch of fancy assets acquired in recent years, I dusted off my old Ahsoka model I had endlessly tinkered with years ago. This journey has never been about any cool new prop, environment nor outfit I got to play with. It's about me learning the ins and outs of various programs, honing my skills and talents to discover my style. I could be like other character artists, aiming for photorealism, but I'm more interested in discovering what looks like my artistic vision rather than what looks real. So, I made a new Ahsoka render using the same character base model and clothing assets as my very first render. I wanted to see how my skills have improved upon the same goal with the same assets, and I'm really happy with the result. For those of you who are more familiar with DAZ Studio, this Ahsoka is built using the Victoria 4.2 base model. It's been so many years since I moved over to the Genesis models and I must say it was quite the challenge to backtrack, but a fun one. Thank you, to all of you for supporting me along this journey. Some of you are new to my gallery, others have lurked for years, and some supported me on Patreon for a while and others still followed me to DeviantART from CWA before I was even making art! It's been quite the journey with so many ups and downs, but I'm happy that I have walked it and shared it with you. Here's to many more years to come!
