I've been working on this piece for a while now. It's made mostly from google pictures, and then some 3d, some brushing...A different version will be used as a mattepainting in the short i'm working on.

The thing I love about this photo is that it combines two elements in a very unique manner: technologie/futuristic world ( suggested by the sharp shape of the buildings, the colours maybe and the 'setting') and nature/traditional world ( sugessted by the dance of the clouds -that whirl- , the sky ligfhting). Coexistenta acestor lumi e sugerata by the intertwining of this two extremes/opposites.

You really achieved the sci-fi feeling in this piece. The green color you used is perfect for it. I'm guessing this is a planet that technology may have destroyed itself. I like the smog like clouds. It really creates a polluted atmosphere. It doesn't seem like a very happy place to live

Beautiful use of a nearly-monochromatic palette. The clouds are done well--the swirling pattern adds to the chaos and darkness. The close planet also adds to that sense of chaos and doom. Nice job, even though the quality you had to work with wasn't so great--I think you pulled it off.

When my first response to the preview image is "Oooher! Sex on two legs! Want!", I can tell that it's going to knock my socks off. And, Lord, yes, does this one do that.
While I love the sci-fi city, what really does this painting for me is the too-close moon almost, but not quite, shrouded by clouds. I love the way the clouds pick up the light, and reveal here and there, pieces of the huge moon (sister planet?).

3 of the bigger buildings are found on google search. i cannot be sure if they have copyright or not, but if it offends someone, i'll be happy ( ok not happy) to delete it. but it's not commercial, i do not intend to sell it , so i hope there won't be any problems.

Ok first of all, why the hell arent you working for like TOR books or something, creating BADASS covers for their books or something. I mean jesus christ man, i about died when i saw this. there is so much detail in here that i stared at each portion of the picture for a very long time. I love the fact that you chose green for the central color, it makes it feel like a very advanced state in earth, one where nature and science seem to live in harmony all at the same time.
