Description Minus a matt varnish, first squad is completed. I added Steel Legion Drab and Abbadon Black to the palette, for painting the bases, bringing it to a total of 15 colours.

Dammit, now I wanna build a battlefield of trenches, craters and ruined battlefields! XD

The colour scheme will be uniform across the army but with variations on certain units. (Standard green grey for infantry and heavy weapons squads, red piping on command and special weapon squads, camouflage tunics for specialist units like Veterans and Stormtroopers, etc.)

For those who may not have noticed, the colour scheme on the squad pictured is based on the Empire uniforms from Youjo no Senki / Saga of Tanya the Evil. Awesome anime. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend watching it.

Crikey. Your collection reminds me Dave Taylor. He was the chief editor of the Australian White Dwarf magazine back in the 90s. Had a massive guard collection, somewhere around 1000 infantry and about a 100 tanks.

That I can easily imagine because I too have a lot of miniature cases that are used mainly for storing my armies. I have 1 GW double case, 4 regular GW cases, 5 aluminium cases that I bought from my local hardware store (they're nearly the same size as the GW double case), and about 3 aluminium makeup cases that I have modified to carry miniatures for small skirmish games like Necromunda and Infinity.
