Description Finally finished a commission for Azul-din of his amazing characters Sulien and Aerin from his lovely story 'Sulien's Saga'. I just loved drawing them!

Oh wow! This is splendid! I can't stop looking at their cloaks and how they look like wings, they're fantastically detailed and such an original idea! I love the simplicity but brilliance of the blue trees in the background, it compliments the grey of their cloaks and the greens of the leaves around them very well and their tender expression as they stare at each other is captivating!

Wow your colours in this are so bright and clear! I love the way you painted the trees in those vibrant blues, they make Sulien and Aerin really stand out in their more natural earthy tones. The wing-cloaks are beautiful, I love how they appear to be sharing some kind of secret only they know *meaningful eye contact with one another*

I'm so glad you think so! Thank you! The colours were fun, though to be honest I was a bit inspired by an older work of mine for the colour-scheme and background - it seemed that it will work here. Also, I'm really happy you picked up on the dynamic between those two. I wasn't sure if I managed to capture it.

Aerin has justΒ  that look of always being just a little bit wiser that I imagined, and Sulien...well, it's a long, long way from the Cloister...

The capes remind me of selkies' skin, which they can put on to transform a bit and "enter" another element normal humans can't xD

That's more or less how it worked in the story too! Except here the cloaks were an acquired magical item rather than something naturally belonging to them.
