Meet Baji! She's not mine, but she's super duper cute and a chinese river dolphin red panda hybrid so she's pretty much awesome. She belongs to MBPanther , whom took a trade with me on a whim (those are the best kind, right?). I hurried and got my half finished because I didn't want her waiting on me forever. I hope I got her markings right! It was a little difficult to tell from the sheet that was given. Let me know if anything needs to be changed. <3I couldn't try my approach with the proportions since I couldn't find a good ref to use for the red panda body, so I had to wing it. I did use ref for the CRD head though. The tail was all me.

Oh my goodness, you were so quick with your part!!! This is fantastic!!!! I love her pose, with her little tail curled over her back, she is too darn adorable for me to handle!!!!!!!!!!! Also, her beak and teeth look absolutely fantastic, you got her body shape down perfectly, I can't believe you didn't use a ref, this is perfect! All the markings are wonderful and I like how you added claws, that's a wonderful touch^^ I apologize if her ref sheet gave you trouble. I love Chinese River Dolphins. It's really unfortunate they are extinct now. It's a damn shame to lose such a beautiful animal, especially given that we barely knew anything about it. Baji is kind of my homage to them, as well as Red Pandas. I think you added just the right touch to the pic with that background. It looks wonderful. I might have to try something like that one day. Take all the time you want to reply. Thanks again for the trade!

That really is sad. :< I came across several things saying they were extinct (or thought to be extinct), it really is a shame. Well, I think your homage is a beautiful thing, especially combining 2 pretty incredible animals. I'm glad the background sufficed. It really wasn't at all what I had in mind but I feared screwing it up if I kept messing with it. You're a doll and a half..thanks again for the trade!

Yeah, they are effectively extinct now. Recent surveys to find them have yielded no results. It really sucks.
But, that aside, I am so happy with how your part turned out. Thank you for the wonderful trade!
