'cause i just hated drawing them

I'm just really curious - how do you guys blur things so close to the screen? Haha, like the hand?
I must say, I just adore the way you color though. The simple cell shading is done in a more complex way and suits your actual style. (: I love it.
And I love the way you do eyes and hair!

well heres the steps
click the lasso tool and circle the part you want to blur
then go to the top of the screen and click Select, Modify, Feather
this makes sure the blur isn't really sudden.
then go and click Filter, Blur, Gaussian Blur
play around with that till you're happy and click ok! thats it

no problem glad i could help. but i'm not completely sure its the same in GIMP though. i used to use gimp for animations, not so much now. you'll have to fiddle around with it a little.

It is. (: PS and GIMP are almost 'exactly' alike (I would know, I have PS Elem. 8 as well LOL; I prefer Gimp though).

GIMP is useful when you're scared of PS like I am, it's a terrifying program to me. OTL

I used to get really angry at it cause i had no idea what i was doing
but after about a year or two i feel really comfortable using it. I guess its all about practice.
the reason i choose photoshop above others is cause it has really good filters and edits which helps a lot.
other than that i guess other programs like GIMP or SAI are pretty good too

When you use SAI and get used to it, it's a dream really.
And then combining it with GIMP - it's like having a large PS with all those goodies and filters and line makers all in one, haha.
PS is just too confusing for me. >v <; It's like math.
