Was talking with KitsuneMangaka and my nervous brain decided that combining my two obsessions, owls and Pandora Hearts, was a good idea... Originally I was going to draw all the characters as owls themselves, but at the moment, drawing each character along with a particular kind of owl appeals to me more.

Decided to start of with Gilbert and a melanistic barn owl, since Gilbert's birthday is on the fifth of this month. (I finally found the birthday list at the back of the 18.5 official guide, under the book jacket the whole time XD)

The sketch alone took three hours and it STILL doesn't look very good in my eyes XP I'm a perfectionist, yup... Also still trying to figure out what to use for lineart in watercolor. I see a lot of people who use pencil, and the lines still show through under the watercolor, but that doesn't seem to work for me... might go back to using colored pencil as I did before.
